At the crossroads of jazz and digital scenography, the project explores how music and light can coexist and influence one another. Each performance becomes a unique experience, where musical improvisation and light projections interact in real time to create a fluid and immersive audiovisual world.
Also forming part of The Tonal Few’s 2026 Swiss tour, this performance features music from STEPS, their album due for release very soon. True to its ‘party-jazz’ DNA, this record is brimming with energy, groove and fun — but there’s more to it than that. There’s also a more honest side, with tracks that speak to the challenges we all face at different points in life.
Led by Antonin, STEPS reflects his journey, from classical percussion to a whole host of other styles and instruments. The result is a fairly free-spirited sound, a mix of influences that doesn’t really fit into any one box. The album represents a real challenge: maintaining the energy of a live performance whilst taking the time to refine the production, the layers and the details. Ultimately, it captures exactly where they are today. And now that they’ve embraced it… you might as well embrace this wild experience by dancing, marvelling at the beauty of the lights.
Antonin Jaccard – vibraphone, keyboards and composition, Alberto Rodriguez – saxophone, Jarod Begusic – bass, Ewen Grall – drums. Lighting design: Thibault Jaccard and Nathan Hefti.
