In 1916, Rilke was called up for military service. He was so shocked that he sought help from Sigmund Freud. Ulrich von Bülow, Marbach, and Matthias Weichelt, Berlin, will present Rilke's correspondence with the founder of psychoanalysis, published for the first time in 2025. The event will also provide an overview of the Rilke collection in Marbach and the collections of the Rilke Foundation.
